The Tonga tribe of Zimbabwe and Zambia live along the Zambezi River. They are a peaceful tribe whose whole life revolves around the cycles of the Zambezi river. As in most tribal settings, the Tonga believe that there is a "Higher Power" that controls the seasons. To Them,this higher power is the NYAMINYAMI. Legend has it that this god has the head of a fish and a serpents body.
